What Every Business Owner Needs To Know About Productivity
From the desk of: Catherine Lefebvre-Babinsky
If you’ve successfully built your business and scaled to 6 figures +
You’re now busier than Elon Musk (without the paycheck that comes with it) and never have time for all the awesome things you thought you would do as a business owner.
Or you’re just wearing all the hats in your business and you feel overwhelmed by the amount of work you have to do.
Then you are in the right place!
The Myth Of The Perfect Lifestyle
Most people who start a business want some form of freedom. You might want the freedom to travel the world or the freedom to work from home. There’s also financial freedom and time freedom that are the top 2 things that business owners want. But it is really freedom that we NEED? Yes, it’s awesome to be free to dictate our own work hours, but that also means that we have the freedom to not work at all and therefore, the freedom to not make any money. The word freedom makes it seems like it’s going to be a walk in the park. But entrepreneurship is actually pretty hard. You have to put in time, effort and money in order to achieve your goals. If you don’t have some specific elements and systems in place it becomes almost impossible to build and maintain a successful business. You see, most people start their business with some good hustling and get to 5 or 6 figures just by putting in the hours. But at some point, you just can’t seem to scale past that. And even worse, you’re having a hard time maintaining that rhythm of constantly working hard, sacrificing your free time and postponing spending time with your family or on your health.
Freedom VS Control
So if it’s not freedom that we should go for, what should be our goal?
I’m getting there.
This is a typical day in the life of an entrepreneur who has no control over their time:
8am: Crawl out of bed 9am: Check emails (258 new messages… Sigh) 11am: Phone call with clients 1pm: Grab a protein bar 3pm: Weep quietly 4pm: Create 20 new posts for social media 7pm: Order takeout 8pm: More work 10pm: Weep loudly 11pm: Stress out about not completing her to-do list 1am: Stress out about the next day
This person definitely has the freedom to work from home and to spend as much time as she wants in her business, so what’s the problem?
She has no CONTROL over her schedule (or her life).
And that’s how the majority of business owners spend their days…
Working 10 to 18 hours (even on weekends), constantly feeling stressed out and without ever taking time for themselves.
Unlike freedom, control gives you back the power to decide how you want to spend your life.
The top 3 obstacles that I constantly see to become more productive and in control of your time are: 1. Perfectionism 2. Boredom 3. Not sure what to do/ no plan
All of these obstacles leads to procrastination.
And this is also why some people take too long to complete projects that should only take a few hours.
You either work on it too much because you want to make it perfect, procrastinate on finishing the project until the day before the deadline because that project is too boring or you just run in every direction because you have no clear plan.
So how do you reduce the time you work in your business without lowering your revenue?
Well you need to simplify your whole work process and take back control over your time.
Control gives you back your peace of mind since you have a more predictable income and schedule.
The #1 poison for your body and your mind is the stress that comes from not knowing when the next client will come or when you will be able to take a break.
But you can’t just wake up one morning and be in control of your schedule.
You need to have a clear system in place and consistently implement it.
The $86,400 System
Think about it this way… If you received $86,400 every single morning, but you HAD to invest it by the end of the day or it would disappear. How motivated would you be to invest that money? Probably a lot. And I’m guessing you would try to invest as much of it as possible. Well 86,400 is also an important number for something else… It’s the number of seconds you get every single day. And every day if you don’t use that time wisely, it’s gone forever. You see, you can always regenerate money and create more, but time will never come back. So how can you use each day productively so your most precious resource, your time, isn’t wasted?
The 4 Keys Of Productivity
There are 4 core concepts that drive our unique productivity system and that we put in place for all our clients:
These are the key factors that make the difference between overwhelm and control.
And I know that this system can work in any type of business and in any industry.
The problem is that it’s going to be slightly different depending on your specific situation.
So the last thing I want you to do is to buy some other online course, go through it (or forget about it the next day) and then have nothing to show for.
Or search on Google the solution to your problem, spend hours reading blog posts and watching videos and end up in the same place.
You see the biggest problem is not getting the information, it’s actually IMPLEMENTING it in a customized way for your specific situation.
But you don’t have to worry about figuring this all out by yourself…
Because when you need to do everything by yourself without an action plan, you might end up procrastinating or forgetting important steps.
Most people KNOW that they need to make a change, so why don’t they?
Because it’s easy to know in theory that something is wrong, but it’s a whole different thing to actually create a new plan and implement it.
So I’d like to offer you today a complimentary brainstorm session with me.
Yes, that’s right, a FREE call to map out that action plan and give you the strategies to implement it!
We’ll work on answering these questions and much more for you: How can you wake up in the morning and feel motivated to work? How should you organize your schedule to allow you free time without compromising your business? How do you go to bed every night with every item on your to-do list checked off?
These are the questions I get the most from my clients and on our brainstorm call, I’ll talk about the solution to each of these problems.
So you might be wondering...
Why Is This Free?
1. I’m doing this because I want to give back to fellow business owners. I know the impact of constantly feeling overwhelmed had on my life and I want to help people who feel this way.
2. I know that you’re going to love what we put together so much that you might want my help to implement that plan and transform your life and your business.
If that’s the case, we can discuss it during our call and see if it’s a good fit for both of us. If not, that’s fine too.
Whether you become a client or not doesn’t matter.
What matters is that on this brainstorm session, I will help you solve your productivity issues…
We’ll create a clear and detailed plan of action for what your next steps are in order to take your productivity to the next level.
And I’ll give it to you for free.
Please only schedule a call if you’re serious about taking your business and your productivity to the next level. I don’t like to waste my time and I definitely don’t want to waste yours. But just ask yourself this question:
If you procrastinate on this, what else are you procrastinating on in your life?
If you don’t have 30 minutes to drastically change your life and your business, then what else don’t you have time for?
It’s up to you.
Those who take action are the ones who see results.
